Would you like to come shoot a TxPRC match?

What will I be shooting at?

Steel targets, some that are small, some large, movers, poppers, reactive targets, etc,

Paper Targets, challenging your fundamentals and knowing your rifle.

Here is a video from last years match at CCC. It should give you an idea of what to expect.

What is the round count?
Between 50 and 75 rounds
What ranges will be shooting at?
10 yards to 1200 yards
Are laser range finders allowed?
Yes, however most all stages are setup, it is rare to see a UKD.

Is there a limit on rifle caliber?
Yes, a minimum of 5.56mm to 30 cal magnum only. All calibers are limited to 3150FPS No steel core, FMJ or AP rounds allowed.  This also varies by match director.

What kind of Rifle do I need?

You’ll see everything from AR10s to full custom bolt action rifles.  Typically you’ll want a rifle that is capable of 1MOA or better. You’ll want a sling, bipod, and although it’s not needed to start, detachable magazines will be a big help.

Do I need a scope?

Yes, magnified optics are required.

Typically you’ll want some sort of “tactical” reticle in Milliradian or MOA. You will be shooting at targets of varying distance in one stage including moving targets. For this type of shooting First Focal Plane scope are an advantage, as are turrets that match your reticle.  Feel free to bring what you have and we’ll get you squared away.

Make sure and check this post for the type of gear you’ll see at matches.

What do you need to start shooting?

How do I sign up?

Check the Calendar for a match. Closer to the date of the match a sign up sheet will be posted.

What is the cost?

Membership Fees are $100 for the year, and $40 per match.

What all does this get me?

Details to come!

We have additional rules that will be explained, but please be familiar w/ the basic gun safety rules.

This will be posted in the FAQ of our site, and will be updated throughout the year.

Please feel free to email me w/ any questions or concerns.
